I'm Okay, You're Okay

I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while. It’s been hectic. Since I quit smoking, I can’t think and I’m not doing anything efficiently. That’s right. You heard me. I’m still not smoking. I didn’t relapse. I’m okay. Everything is just taking longer. Hence, I have like, three times the work.

All this snow hasn’t helped. We have gotten non-stop precipitation. Snow, hail, icy rain. If it’s bad, we’ve gotten it. Today we’re getting wind. Might as well be living on the tundra. Is the tundra like this? I’ll have to ask Kelly what the tundra actually is. I think she learned that in science class. It’s very hard to take care of the horses in weather that’s like the tundra. Truth be told, I hate their guts when I see snow out there. When Kurt told me it was snowing again this morning, I couldn’t believe it. I said, “Is this a sick joke?” like he put a Gummy worm in my salad. Or I just found out Sarah Palin was running for President. Sick.

Anyway, I heard you guys were looking for me and that’s really nice. So I’m just checking in and letting you know that I am okay and you’re okay for being such good friends.

I'm glad you're ok, although cold. I'm sick of winter, too. It snowed all day here today.
Your photos are beautiful.

I'm glad you're OK too, and not smoking, great! I'm sick of snow too, sick of wearing boots, sick of cold. And two of my poodles are in heat which means I have to walk them on leashes, grrrr.

Do you still have THAT MUCH SNOW? Much of ours has melted but this cold wind has been driving me nuts since last night. Makes the house all creepy with noisy doors and windows.... spooky sounds... LOL

I am glad to see you back. I was starting to wonder myself.

The wind is worse than the snow, if you ask me.

You are very bold, riding in the snow.

Wonderful pictures! I had sunshine today and, like you, thought the snow would never leave.

Congratulations on stopping smoking. It is a good thing to quit, I say, as I light one. Let me know your secret!

Hey Deb just great to hear from you! We all have to get this freakin' winter behind us and ALL will look so much brighter and better.

The cruel joke is I moved here to escape bad weather! Will this winter ever end???
My horses are sick of it too, and they have escaped several times, to be chased down and drug back home to a smaller area that has a more secure fence until this weather breaks so we can re-fence!!Can't hear myself think with the wind!
I'm ok...

The word "snow" is starting to make me hostile. Although we havent had as much as you. Congrats on being smoke free still. Maybe I will get there one day.

Hey there, Debi. So glad to see a post and to know you are doing well and are smoke-free. Hang in there---it really will get better. Especially when all this stinkin' snow stops coming down and melts for good...

Those are really wonderful shots.

I can so relate. I hate the cows worse, but the horses are a close second. Its funny, though, how we've kind of settled into a quiet "norm" about going out. Put on the coveralls and the gloves and the headgear and out we go... trudging along like an old farmer. Even starting to complain like a farmer.

Glad you are fine. Don't give up too many demons at one time... ;)

SOOOOO GLAD you're still not smoking. Please come get me if you need a boost. I'll do everything I can to help. Just had my 4 year anniversary and it is so cool to get to this point. I want you to too!

Was wondering how you were - glad to hear you are OK, still not smoking - that's great! And the snow! We are fed up with it too.. Its all gone, for the moment, but threatened again at the end of the week.

You look more Arctic than tundra!

I had the same problem last week! I kept wanting to blog but just couldn't get time. Glad you are back!

The snow is beautiful in your pictures, even though we are all seriously sick of it!

I hate to say this but everything is relative! Being right on Lake Michigan and the wind 30 degree highs at least 20 mile hr winds blowing right from the water and still 2-3 ft of snow in spots-Virginia's heat wave sounds pretty good about now! Hope to hear from you soon. BTW glad you stopped smoking. Happy for you!
