Empty Nesters

The birds flew the coop. We spent the last couple of weeks taking pictures of them. Every time they repositioned themselves in the nest, one of us ran out there with the camera and took a picture. In the end, they looked like little eagles on the edge of the nest. Now and then they flapped their wings and we jumped up and down and ran around like our toddler just took a step. And then they were gone.

They look way too big for that little nest. I bet they had to move on to look for a bigger and better spot to build a home.

Nice pictures!!

Funny- my MIL and I were just talking about my boys along these lines.... Its pretty scary how fast they grow, and will be ready to move on.

Great pic of the babies before they too moved on! Wonder how many will be there next year?

I've now got my own baby birds to watch go through the same process. Discovered them two days ago. They looked like they'd just hatched. It'll be on my blog in a couple of weeks. But mine are much tinier. And our cat is just living for the first flight in hopes of a great meal!

Nice photos, kiddo!
