What a Kid Will Do
When you live way out in the country, out in the middle of nowhere, and it’s too hot to ride, a kid who’s not allowed to play on the computer every waking minute will find other things to do. Kelly takes walks in the woods and plays with the dog. She catches frogs and turtles. Sometimes bugs. She also takes pictures. Whenever I look for my camera, she’s got it.
Recently, her pictures were featured on the blog Creative Influences. They said some nice things about Kelly’s work.
Here are some pictures she took of Harley. I call it her “Horse Taking a Shower” series.

Harley has the right idea. Great shots!
Great pictures! Looks like Harley is really enjoying himself in the heat.
Those are beautiful shots! She is very talented. I have to figure out how she hooked up the hose to the fence. My horses can ues a bit of mist here lately, too.
Take it there is no update on the house. Hoping the right buyer finds you soon.
Wow, that's cute, a much better use of time than being on the computer.
I enjoyed seeing these, I think they cooled me off too.
she really does awesome work debi!! i love those pictures! she could make a calendar of them!
Oh, there's an update Tammy. You won't believe it.
She just used a clamp to get that hose to stay on the fence. Harley said if he can't come into the air conditioning, this is the next best thing!
Thanks for your compliments!
As you know, I love these!
That is one happy horse!
And one excellent photographer!
Kelly has a real talent for taking pictures.
Harley has the right idea. Getting soaked by cool water is one way to survive this oppressive heat.
These are great. Your kid's got talent!
Congratulations to Kelly for having her photos featured! I can see why---they're wonderful! And just looking at them made me feel cooler. :-)
Wow, Kelly is talented! She should get noticed. Those are great pictures. That looks like fun too. I could use one here, it's so hot!
Thanks everyone!
What a fantastic series. Great job!
I think the second and third are my absolute favorites but they are all original and imaginative and stunning.
My fridge is full but I know where nothing is...too many places for things to hide.
what a fun subject! That is one horse who loves water!
